Accipiter Fieldcraft is a veteran owned business that teaches wilderness survival, self-rescue and food systems. Our vision is to create a more resilient society capable of navigating front and back country settings.

Wilderness Survival

Students work as individuals and in teams for completion of tasks using primitive and modern technologies to build shelters, treat water and light fires in all climate zones.

They learn why, what to carry and how to improvise with available resources to meet the needs of survival or build a greater skillset while out in the woods.

Self-Rescue

Having basic first aid skills is a must, but knowing where you are, where you are going and how to communicate is just as important.

Each survival class incorporates aspects of first aid, navigation and communication into the curriculum.

Food Systems

In addition to hosting workshops in soil health, ecological design and agro-forestry systems at Wild Roots Community Farm, bringing the community together to process animals are some of the highlights of our season
